Australian Government initiatives for women: 2010 and beyond
Through the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA), the government stands firmly committed in supporting women to take up leadership and decision making roles, including the number of women appointed to boards and other decision making bodies. International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women around the world. 2010 Victorian Women's Leadership Grants
A $500,000 grants program has recently been launched by the Victorian Government, with the aim of increasing the capacity of women to participate in decision making and leadership opportunities, increase diversity among Victoria’s female leaders and promoting the achievements of women in civic and political life.
