Navy
The Royal Australian Navy is proud to partner with Women and Leadership Australia (WLA) for its Employer of Choice Program for the third year, to promote opportunities for uniformed Navy women and Defence Australian Public Service employees to participate in leading leadership development events.

The Navy Women's Leadership Program (NWLP) comprises a number of events, including the Women's Leadership Symposium, and other regional conferences and one-day workshops. The objectives of the NWLP are to increase opportunities for professional and leadership development, improve Navy women's capacity for networking and mentoring, to increase their knowledge of current leadership theory and practice, and to provide motivation and encouragement for their continued participation in Navy.

The WLA Employer of Choice Program helps to facilitate this. To date, over 100 women have enjoyed the opportunities provided by the NWLP. Gender equity and diversity form the basis for a sound and sustainable Navy and the NWLP contributes to ensuring that we can compete nationally as a preferred employer for young people.
