A career-defining 12-month journey

The Advanced Leadership Program is designed to support the rapid advancement of high potential female leaders from all sectors and industries.

During a career-defining 12-month journey, participants accelerate their own career progression as they strengthen the performance of their teams. As the program advances, participants become part of an exclusive cohort of female leaders. Each participant is allocated a dedicated coach for the duration of the program. The coaching process is fundamental to the program, and greatly enhances the learning process.

According to Suzi Finkelstein, Executive Convenor of Women & Leadership Australia:

"The program tackles the critical challenge to bolster Australia’s pipeline stocks of ready-made female executives. The benefits to a more diverse leadership base will have direct impact on business performance."

The Advanced Leadership Program wil commence in 2012 in Sydney and Melbourne.

Scholarship Program

Through its partnership with the Australian School of Applied Management, WLA will award numerous scholarships for the Advanced Leadership Program for the 2012 period.

The scholarship framework is designed to provide financial support to assist candidates in their aspiration to complete the Advanced Leadership Program.

Scholarship funding reflects the long-term commitment of WLA and its many stakeholders to the advancement of gender equity in Australian Workplaces.

The following scholarships are offered in 2012:

Australian Regional Scholarship
Awarded to participants residing more than 100km from a major capital city.
• Scholarship amount: $7,500
• Fees payable: $14,500

Not-for-Profit Scholarship
Awarded to participants from not-for-profit organisations and public sector agencies.
• Scholarship amount: $9,500
• Fees payable: $12,500

WLA Scholarship
Awarded at the discretion of the National Scholarship Committee.
• Scholarship amount: $11,000
• Fees payable: $11,000
